An Impressive Start
Castellers de Vilafranca shone with their own light during their performance this Sunday in Tarragona, as part of the Santa Tecla festivities. With a competitive spirit, the greens demonstrated their strength and cohesion, managing to complete three extra range castles without the bad luck of falls that afflicted other gangs.
Extra Range Castles: An Achievable Challenge
With the goal of the contest on the horizon, the gang started their performance with a 4d9fa, a castle that has been their emblem and which they successfully completed. This construction, which has already been a milestone in other performances this season, presented no complications and was executed with great skill.
The Challenge of the Chained Tower
In the second round, the people from Vilafranca tried to build a nine-story tower with lining and shackles. This time, the pressure of the previous attempts made the queen decide not to continue with her ascent, leaving the castle in a dismantled attempt. Despite this, the pot had reached a good floor, which showed the strength of the gang.
Consolidation with Safe Castles
With their eyes on the competition, the third round was a key moment where Castellers de Vilafranca chose to ensure their success. They easily unloaded a 3d9f, one of the most ambitious castles of the season, followed by a 9d8 which was completed without any difficulty, reaffirming their position as the leading pack.
Closure With Style
To conclude the day, the greens presented a spectacular pillar of eight with lining and handcuffs, the eighth this year. This performance was not only a testament to their prowess, but also served as a prelude to the upcoming performances that await them.
Towards New Goals
With two less demanding performances scheduled before the big competition, the Castellers de Vilafranca are preparing to face the next challenges. The first of these will take place in Lloret de Mar, followed by a day in Sant Miquel, where they will again share the stage with other renowned gangs. Expectations are high and the gang are determined to maintain their good level of teamwork.
