The plenary session of the Sant Joan de Vilatorrada City Council gave the green light this Thursday to the municipal budget for 2024, which is the first since 2020, as the last three financial years had been extended. The mayor, Jordi Solernou, has highlighted that the City Council has recovered a new budget that will allow them to “continue working to promote projects and services to improve our town”. He pointed out that after the increase in basic supplies in recent years “it was more and more complicated to make the town and the City Hall work without accounts adapted to reality. Without new budgets we would not be able to work on new projects for everyone the neighbors”. Increase in spending on care for people

The second of the priorities on which the government emphasizes that the accounts focus is on environmental and territorial policies. They point out that the new accounts will be able to improve maintenance, incorporating a new brigade worker or increasing the road cleaning budget by 30%. The environmental policies experience an expansion of the items of 32% that will make it possible to have new projects in renewable energies, energy transition, or promotion of sustainable mobility. Also, as a novelty, the resources are being incorporated to start deploying the recently approved Local Housing Plan.
Investments to improve everyday life and for future projects
